The Association for Delivery Drivers is opening up a whole new road for dealing with independent owner–operators -- legitimately. Imagine working with drivers who are much better able to pass muster as true independent contractors/vendors. The Association makes it possible.

Once drivers join and gain access to our ever-growing lineup of benefits, they can comply with professional contract standards easily and cost effectively. You’ll feel a whole lot better about IC classification risks (and for good reason) when your drivers are:

Operating under a registered business trade name, an LLC, or corp.

Carrying comprehensive (yet affordable) business insurance
Utilizing their own manifests and other tools of the trade
Advertising their services
Documenting driver orientation, ongoing safety training, etc.
Licensing themselves as motor carriers

All this, independently of you. Just point them in our direction!

With this approach you simply set the contract standards that are right for you, make it known that ADD benefits meet those standards, and let the drivers take it from there (with ADD ready to assist them of course)!

Upgrading your contract standards also leads to improved customer service, reduced accident rates, and lower insurance costs. For example, consider how operations will look when your drivers are participating in a safety incentive program (a free member benefit), enrolling in safety training, and/or carrying their own business auto, cargo, and accident insurance (often for pennies a day!). Your insurers are going to anticipate reduced claims, so you can anticipate reduced rates -- up to 30% and even more over time as your claim record improves!

The Association can supply you with all the materials you need to make your drivers aware of us and our benefits. Our flyers also clearly lay out costs and payment options. Please note that you can use TPAs in conjunction with hiring ADD members, but it's not necessary. Call us to discuss what makes the most sense for your business.
